Dr Gareth James - Prostate Health Awareness (The CMBH Podcast Ep.1)

The first episode of The Check My Body Health Podcast was a daunting one. Not only did it require myself and co-host Connie to host a podcast for the first time, let alone for a brand with over 20,000 followers across socials, but it was my first time piecing together a podcast from scratch. Looking back now, whilst the episode isn’t as polished as I would like it to be, it’s great being able to see how the journey started, and where my love for editing podcasts began

Dr Tiffany Crawford & Dr Ed Copley - Mental Health (The CMBH Podcast Ep.2)

Episode 2 of The Check My Body Health Podcast was all around a topic that I care very deeply about: mental health. We were lucky enough to be joined by 2 great guests in Dr Tiffany Crawford & Dr Ed Copley who offered one of the most insightful conversations I’ve ever had. With almost 2 hours of footage having to be cutdown, the longest edit I’ve worked on to date, the final piece is one I am very proud of, and I hope that people watch and are able to take something from it.

Nutritionist Molly Harvey-Love - Gut Health (The CMBH Podcast Ep.3)

The third episode of The Check My Body Health Podcast gave us the chance to work with our in-house nutritionist Molly, who gave us a breakdown of all things gut health. Whilst this wasn’t a topic I was massively clued up on, it offered an opportunity to learn something new, and also try out some new methods of editing within the podcast intro. I made sure to include 2 big questions that would not have Molly’s answers revealed in the intro, but would keep viewers watching the podcast to find out what the answer to the questions would be. This is a method of editing that I want to continue using in teaser intros.

Dr Gareth James - Sleep (The CMBH Podcast Ep.4)

The fourth episode of The Check My Body Health Podcast was my favourite episode for many reasons. Not only were we able to have another episode with Dr Gareth, but this was my favourite edit out of the 4 episodes. Not only did the quality of the cameras improve for this episode, but I found the intro edit to be very entertaining whilst also conveying lots of different emotions in such a short time frame.
